Celebrating a Year of Podcasting

Toni Thrash Episode 55

I would love to hear from you! Send a text!

What if life threw you a curveball and you found yourself benched during a major transition? As someone who's walked the path of uncertainty and asked, "What's next for me?" I get it. This episode marks a special milestone—our one-year anniversary—and I'm thrilled to share the backstory of this podcast's journey. With the gentle push from my dear friend Kim Stewart, who questioned the dusty manuscript of my book, I ventured into podcasting. It wasn't just about creating episodes; it was about crafting a space for those navigating the throes of change, whether through divorce, career shifts, or personal loss. This podcast isn't just a platform; it's a lifeline for those seeking their next step.

As we reflect on this transformative year together, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you, my listeners. Your support has fueled this endeavor, turning it into a ministry for those stuck in life's waiting rooms, eager for a breakthrough. I'm excited about the stories we'll uncover and the questions we'll explore, like next week's poignant topic: "Does God really know what I'm walking through?" Your voices matter, and I welcome your suggestions on topics you'd like to explore. Thank you for being a vital part of this journey, and here's to another year of growth, resilience, and discovery!

Speaker 1:

Is there a major life transition benching you? I know you may be asking what's next? What's my purpose? What if? Because I've asked those too. Welcome to the Start your Comeback Podcast. I'm Toni Thrash, a certified life coach, and I want to share the tools and practical steps to help you create a winning game plan to move into your new adventure. Hi, welcome back. You are listening to episode 55. Today's episode marks the one year anniversary of starting this podcast. I can't believe it's been a year.

Speaker 1:

I just remember three years ago when I met Kim Stewart. She was just gearing up to launch her podcast and, if you know her, she loves everything about podcasting. We met and continue to meet at least once a month to co-work together. We strategize Well, mostly I ask questions and she gives answers, but she truly is an amazing friend and has a wealth of knowledge. She asked me in the beginning, every time we met, about starting a podcast, and I always found an excuse to say now's not the time. But last summer, the summer of 23,. We were talking and she just asked the question hey, are you still writing your book? Truth is, I had put it on the shelf and was busy trying to build my coaching business. I had even joined a women's entrepreneur group and was working hard to see that that happened. But, as Kim usually does, she just casually mentioned that starting a podcast would help me in three ways it would help me build my coaching, it would help me write my book and it would help me build my audience, my book and it would help me build my audience. I left our co-working time that day and processed what I felt like was the next step. So the very next time we met up, I said I'm ready to go, let's do this. This began a six to eight week step-by-step coaching from her on exactly what to do. We left no stone unturned. My birthday is in October and my goal was to launch it by the end of my birthday month. We strategized the first three episodes and I launched the trailer on October, the 13th of 2023. And then the first three episodes launched on October the 26th.

Speaker 1:

Kim was, and still is, instrumental in my world of podcasting. I've appreciated her guidance, coaching and mostly all things. Travis and Taylor, if you know, you know. But who I'm most grateful for is you, my listeners, because this podcast has become a ministry for you, who are struggling with the next steps in any major life transition, whether you're walking through divorce, you find yourself an empty nester, you find yourself retired, or maybe you've lost a spouse, maybe you're changing your jobs.

Speaker 1:

This episode is just a small way to say thank you to those who have supported, inspired and challenged me to pursue what God has called me to do. It's also for the ones who are in shock, who don't even know what day it is, just one that seems endless. It's for the ones who are stuck in limbo waiting for a decision to be made so they can move forward. Maybe it's a judge, a boss, a spouse or just ourselves wondering what our game plan needs to be. But this podcast is also for the ones who have reached out and are ready to get off the bench and re-enter a life that will not be the same as it was. Thank you for your support, your encouragement and push toward a ministry meant to help those get off the bench. I'm very grateful for you and I'm so thankful you've stuck around.

Speaker 1:

Here's to another year. What will we tackle this year? What topic do you want to hear more about? Shoot me a fan mail here at the podcast. And again, from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say thank you to you, my listeners, who have repeatedly said I needed to hear that I'm so grateful for you. I needed to hear that I'm so grateful for you. Next week, I will discuss the question that we've all asked at one time or another Does God really know what I'm walking through? You won't want to miss it. Thanks for being here. I'll see you next time. Hey, thanks for listening. I don't take it for granted that you're here. You didn't listen by mistake. If you want to reach out, you can DM me on Instagram at Tony Thrash Until next week. Remember, there's still time left on the clock. Let's get you off the bench to start your comeback. I want to give a special shout out to Country Club for the original music. You can find them on Instagram at Country Club. You.
